Key Responsibilities:
Financial Operations & Control
- Oversee and manage daily cash flow to ensure optimal utilization and business obligations are met.
- Maintain and manage banking relationships, including monitoring receivables and funding requirements.
- Approve transactions ensuring proper authorization and accurate coding in the general ledger.
- Conduct monthly closing activities including trial balance, depreciation runs, asset capitalization, and subsidiary account reconciliations.
- Manage and report on inventory valuation, material consumption, and stock statements to banks.
Compliance and Audit
- Ensure compliance with local laws, tax provisions, and regulations including GST, TDS, PF, and others.
- Liaise and coordinate with external auditors (financial, tax, and internal) and ensure timely completion of audits.
- Prepare and file periodic statutory returns in adherence to statutory deadlines.
- Administer insurance policies covering property, marine, fire, and group medical coverage.
Financial Planning and Strategy
- Lead the formulation and monitoring of budgets, cost centers, and forecasts with emphasis on variance analysis.
- Assist in developing risk minimization strategies and identifying growth opportunities.
- Prepare financial reports and analyses to support business decisions including contract negotiations and investment appraisals.
- Plan and guide long-term financial strategies aligned with organizational goals.
Team and Stakeholder Management
- Supervise the finance team, fostering development and ensuring high-performance standards.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and external consultants to streamline financial operations.
- Act as the primary point of contact for lenders, auditors, regulators, and other finance stakeholders.
Miscellaneous
- Ensure robust internal controls and financial policies are established and followed.
- Manage annual BC rate updates, quarterly inventory valuation, and cost audits related to products.
- Oversee monthly salary entry posting and warranty/non-recurring material bookings.
- Take on other finance-related duties as assigned by senior management.
Candidate Profile:
- Chartered Accountant (CA/ICWA) with 8 to 12 years of relevant finance experience, preferably in manufacturing or related sector.
- Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards, finance regulations, and taxation laws.
- Proficient in SAP and accounting software along with MS Office (especially Excel).
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, audits, and regulatory compliance flawlessly.
- Strategic thinker with a history of implementing cost-saving initiatives and driving financial efficiency.
